Anchorage Digital joined the group of industrial affiliates of the BIG ERA Chair Project, after the recent addition of Holywally to this group on January 2024.

Anchorage Digital is “a crypto platform that enables institutions to participate in digital assets through custody, staking, trading, governance, settlement, and the industry’s leading security infrastructure. Founded in 2017, Anchorage Digital is headquartered in San Francisco, California with offices in New York, New York; Porto, Portugal; Singapore; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The company is funded by leading institutions including Andreessen Horowitz, GIC, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Visa, with its Series D valuation over $3 billion”. Collaborations are being explored between BIG researchers and Anchorage, and  Nuno Barbosa, XX of Anchorage Digital, has also recently joined the BIG ERA Chair board.

The BIG ERA Chair project industry affiliates programs currently gathers 11 industrial affiliates. The BIG ERA Chair industry affiliated program is being implemented around 3 main pillars: establishment of collaboration agreements with identified industry partners of the project and new partners; promoting industry involvement within the BIGLab around DLT related themes; and promoting students and faculty collaborations with industry.
