One of the key aspects of the BIG ERA Chair project through the BIGLab is to strengthen the research capacity of Técnico – Lisbon, LARSyS and INESC-ID and to promote its long-term sustainability by providing support to foster the project management, networking and fundraising capacities of its researchers

Three main initiatives are being developed:

Secondments of doctoral students and junior researchers

Promotion of the bidirectional exchange of junior researchers at LARSyS and INESC-ID and Ph.D. students at IST and the partner institutions. In every secondment, researchers will spend around 2 weeks visiting the partner institutions to work effectively in interdisciplinary research. The resulting dynamic research collaborations and novel ideas coming out of these interactions will allow driving forward the research program of LARSyS and INESC-ID into the ERA, by carrying out leading-edge research in European excellent research centers.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. student at IST OR junior researcher at LARSyS/ INESC-ID
  • Develop research related with distributed ledger and blockchain technologies
  • To visit a partner institution
  • Duration of the visit at least 2 weeks
